The phosphate AgNiPO4 has been examined, which so far has not been described in literature. The synthesis of the substance was realized, and its examination carried out by the X-ray diffraction method. The optical spectrum was recorded using the method of diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility, electric permittivity and electrical resistivity was performed as well. An interpretation of the obtained results is given.en
