Abstract:
The relative differential cross section at forward and backward angles for excitation of the E 3Σg+ state of N2 was measured in the resonant near threshold energy region. The contributions at 0° and 180° were resolved by employing the time-of-flight technique. Theoretically proposed, symmetric angular distribution of scattered electrons via 2Σu+ resonance was directly confirmed.
