Abstract:
Two identical plastic scintillator detectors, of prismatic shape (50×23×5)cm similar to NE102, were used for continuous monitoring of cosmic-ray intensity. Muon △E spectra have been taken at five minute intervals, simultaneously from the detector situated on the ground level and from the second one at the depth of 25 m.w.e in the low-level underground laboratory. Sum of all the spectra for the years 2002-2004 has been used to determine the cosmic-ray muon flux at the ground level and in the underground laboratory. © 2007 American Institute of Physics.
